Russell Westbrook to have own signature shoe, agrees to extent endorsement deal with Jordan Brand.

NBA league MVP Russell Westbrook recently inked a 10-year extension with Nike's Jordan Brand. According to sources, this reportedly will be the biggest athlete deal ever in the history of Jordan Brand. The Oklahoma City Thunder superstar first signed a five-year endorsement deal with the brand in 2013. The long-term extension will link the 28-year-old Westbrook with Jordan Brand through as long as the 2025-26 NBA season.

Westbrook wore Nike sneakers during his first four years in the NBA, before the company aligned him with Jordan, in order to have a dual-brand presence alongside Nike signature athlete and then-teammate Kevin Durant.

The 10-year pact includes both on- and off-court signature sneakers, along with a Westbrook-designed signature apparel line. The deal, negotiated by his longtime agent Thad Foucher at the Wasserman agency, also includes an annual donation from Jordan Brand to Westbrook’s “Why Not?” Foundation, that will impact both educational and athletic programs for kids that Russ plans to continue in both Oklahoma City and Los Angeles.
